I wish things were different...
I wish things were different...
As different as Black and White...
If day starts with night,
I would travel to work under a moon lit sky..
I wish that fishes could fly and birds swim,
Fins or wings; it's just a whim...
I wish to God, my husband becomes my wife,
And, I would go out without saying Bye...
A spout on a merry mouse,
A pout on an ruffed grouse,
Eat water and drink food,
Work sleeping and rest good...
3 Candles:
I wish to God, my husband becomes my wife,
Work sleeping and rest good...
like these 2 lines, the very best..
Sometimes I used to ask Hari, jokingly whether he wanted to be my husband next birth also..
obviously he said NO... I said the angels will be hovering and listening to every word, we say and it might happen.
THen he changed his mind and said..he wanted to be my wife and nag me till i day.. i, inturn said I will be ur husband.. full drunkard and beat u day in and out.

I have no choice but to agree, when such comments come from ladies about husband-wife; But things are much better from the last generation.
In any case, spontaineity brings the best out of Viji, and I feel this poem was also impromptu.
