Held captive and released



Through my dreams and reality
Wanted to grasp my fantasy.
Every step, I had to drag through
In vain, I tried reaching you...

Was there, not for long,
Held captive by your charm.
Heaven and hell took turns
Couldn't help but smile and sigh.

Only to realise,
You are a short lived bubble
The more I tried
The more you evaded..
When I lost hope,
You persuaded..

Closing my eyes, trying hard to sleep
Hope the dreams would come back to me...
Am like a prisoner, who was held captive
Now released, afraid to step out free...

Not knowing where to turn
It scares me to go back,
To the place I started,
Only to realize, I am not wanted...

Closing my eyes, trying hard to sleep
Life is nothing but a weird dream...
The more I fight, the more I lose
Want to remain, the way I had been...

I wish to God, that I could drift to sleep....

    i have not had problems sleeping, so no comments there.. all in all, a good poem..

    What't the meaning of these lines.. not able to get

    By the way, I sleep like a DEVIL. Me too like Harsha, never had any problems.
    only problem is I dont have time to sleep. Otherwise anytime anywhere I can snore peacefully.

    I feel that this sleep heals my pain beautifully. Everytime you get up after a siesta, u feel some dawn over you..
