Spent

Sun about to rise
Travelling with all its might
Sky yearning for the first glimpse
Of her lover rushing to her side.

As he drew nearer,
She turned a bright red
When he reached for her
She yielded, little shy.

He tossed the cloud,
She wrapped around.
Locked her in her arms,
Spent, they lay together.

Came the time
For Sun to move,
Had to say their byes
Waiting for the next morn to arrive.

  2. @ ajey pls bear with me :D it needs a lots of guts to come back after almost 2-3 months of complete writer's block. n be patient with me, i swear i m trying.

@ devasena sky is a "she" here ;) i wd say it's cynical to call men that. what you call "illegal" exists in both the sides. don't you think so? women indulge too.. there is a proverb in tamil, tat says, " a clap occurs only when two palms come together"

These 2 lines made me think that the sky is "he" and the Sun is a lady. She turned a bright red......
