"The root of all superstition is that men observe when a thing hits, but not when it misses."

Francis Bacon (1561-1626)

It's bad luck to walk under a ladder.
This came from the western folklore belief that a leaning ladder formed a triangle with the wall and ground. You must never violate the Holy belief by walking through a triangle, lest you be considered in league with the devil. Poor Turkey..."Run Turkey Run"

Beware of Friday the Thirteenth.
Those who know about these things, inform us that Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden on a Friday, Noah's flood started on a Friday, and Christ was crucified on a Friday. Christians also noted that twelve witches plus one devil are present at Satanic ceremonies so Friday and 13 make a deadly combination.

Connect the dots :)

Lucky in Battle?? Duck would have done the trick not Chicken..

Lucky in Sales - May be I should suggest my friends in Sales to try this out; they seem to be clueless how to get their clients sign on the dotted lines :)

Holidays or "Holy"days

Et tu Iesus!!! (You too Jesus)

Wife's wishful thinking. Watch your step Buddy...

Mountain Superstitions:
  1. A calico cat is lucky, especially if it is a stray and you give it a home.
  2. If your nose itches, company is coming.
  3. A woman should not can her food during her "monthly". Anything she cans will spoil.
  4. Cats and Dogs won't go to a room where spirits and ghosts are present
  5. Whistle before breakfast, cry before dusk.

noah and the flood

hey thank you Chriz for the comment..Sorry I never meant to be offensive to any particular religion.

The details I gave, I got through web.. but I should have rechecked it.

Yes the Holy triangle and Friday 13th are from western folklore. I will rewrite those bits again.

Waiting to read your post around these pics...
