An atheist

An atheist
he was sure
that god did not exist
he racked his brain
to prove his train...

he went to the shrine
to prove god is vain
came home for supper
heard his child whisper
"who made the pot pop
if not a potter?
who made the world pop
if not our creator?"

closed his ears
went for a walk
saw the sunset
watched it hard.
gazed at the sea
looked at the waves
wind or storm
nothing can harm
would an inch raise
or an inch down?
-But I know for sure
God does not exist

heard a song
on praise of soul
if the soul leaves
the person is no more...
how did we come?
where do we go?
-But I know for sure
God does not exist

why do we rejoice a birth?
why do we lament a death?
can't we live as we can?
with no restrictions or conditions?
he went askew
his friend came to his rescue
"what's it my friend?
which haunts you day and night?"
why do people behave like fools
claiming a thing which is not there for sure?
"can you see the breeze or light?
does that mean it's not alive?
certain things can be seen
certain things can be felt
certain things can be heard
certain can be smelt"

whatever you say my friend
does not make sense
I still believe that God
is absent...

Oh! my pal
I pray my god 10 minutes a day
and forget him for the rest of the day
But you, my dear! you think of god
24x7 with no diversions at all....
